It is a dramatic device. I choose to address an inanimate, unconscious object because no one else is present at the time, and in order for others to hear me on a recording declare my feelings about the river:

.i mi ba kruca do sekai selsinma
I will intersect/cross/traverse you with property: being esteemed.
or 
.i mi ba kruca do sekai darsi
I will intersect/cross/traverse you with property: audacity/chutzpah.

...this returns an error in jbofi'e and I can't figure out why. Can you help?
