I have learned much more from this than from the red book. To me,
the red book is more like a reference than a tutorial.

I do not think Lojban specifies an order for those. Do as you
think appropriate.

But the capitalization of the family name is not done in Lojban.
Capital letters are rare, and usually only indicate stress on a
syllable where it would not normally be stressed (such as a name).

Likewise. My name "Hal" I have to render as {xal.} and of course
the /a/ is not the same either. But I like {xal.} better than
{al.} I guess.

There are other choices altogether. For example, you could take
the meaning of your name in your native language (if it has a
meaning) and translate it, then base the Lojban name on that.

You could also make up a new name entirely. I considered something
like {sidbos.}, roughly, "the thinker." (If I am not too wrong.)

Your mistakes, if any, are few and subtle.

  - no e in grammar
  - What is the order (not how is the order)
  - Not "I prefer to it rather than X" but
        "I prefer it to X" or
        "I prefer it rather than X"
  - Mistakes of English -- perhaps better to say "mistakes in English"
