I suggest "rai,n".

I like {rain} better, since the comma doesn't add anything relevant.

{rain}, {rai,n}, {r,ain}, {ra,in}, {r,ai,n}, {r,a,in}, {ra,i,n},
{r,a,i,n} are all one
and the same word in Lojban. The comma can be used to indicate a
preferred syllabification, but it doesn't change the word, and the same
could be said of stress, since syllabification and stress are not
significant in Lojban cmevla.

mu'o mi'e xorxes
(You can pronounce {xor,xes}, {xo,r,xes}, or any other permissible
variant, it makes no difference.)
