[lojban-beginners] Re: Lojban mentioned in my book

Long time no see, Hal. Thanks for doing that! I'll bet it will result
in a new lojbanist or two.

Hi all,

For what it's worth, I am the author of a Ruby book.
See _The Ruby Way_ on Amazon or wherever. (Ruby is
one reason I don't have the time for Lojban that I'd
like.)

I sprinkled quotations liberally throughout the book --
ones that I considered apropos, either in a serious
or a tongue-in-cheek way. In fact, because the book is
so hierarchical, I often used them at section headings,
not just chapter headings.

Anyway, Ch 4 is about internationalization and message
catalogs. Just before the message catalog piece, I used
this quote:

"Lojban is culturally fully neutral. Its vocabulary was
built algorithmically using today's six most widely
spoken languages: Chinese, Hindi, English, Russian,
     Spanish, and Arabic."

Just in case anyone cares. I hope it piques some
readers' interest...
