Is the following sentence proper (from the
Frankenstein movie that was on this morning)? In particular, I’m
wondering about the x2 place of cusku: do puzi cusku le du’u tu’a mi fenki (“Just
a moment ago you said I was crazy…”) Does the x2 argument always have to be a literal string, or
can it be a topic? And if I am incorrect, how should this utterance be
reformulated?
