Well the problem is that you may learn something wrong.
This may cause confusion and later you may have to unlearn
it. That takes time and is NOT sufficient. An efficient
method wants to avoid confusion and errors as far as
possile.
Pedagogical aspects are VERY important for a minority
language like Lojban. In particular, since Lojban claims
to be easy to learn!

I do believe that this is an ESSENTIAL issue.
What is the point in learning an exotic and rare language that is
difficult to learn (and will therefore stay exotic and rare)
after all?
The day I discover that Lojban IS difficult to learn
in spite of efficient learning materials I will stop
bothering about it.
