é and è and such are rarely used because normally they aren't really needed. it's normally just a matter to make it more clear how you need to stress the words


and a ë is much like a 'e would be on Lojban. it just means you need to 'seperate' the letter with the letter before it, so it won't sound like it would sound without the " on top of it.

like 'citroen' = lemon (pronounced almost like 'see-trough-n') an 'citroën' (pronounced more like 'see-troh-an' is a (french) car-brand
