[lojban-beginners] ask questions

Hi Stephen,
If I want to ask a question about a new
subject I send a message to lojban-beginners@lojban.org
mentioning the new subject in the subject line.
If I want to reply to or take part in a discussion
about a subject someone else has brought up I just
reply to that message (without changing the subject
line). Usually I quote a small part of the text I'm
referring to at the top of my reply (>). It's a quick
way of setting the context and it's easier to
read/understand for others I think.
If a subject changes significantly while discussing
it's sometimes better to start a new subject.
I usually try to keep it short and I sign my messages.
Sometimes people refer to a subject as a "thread".
So by sending a message with a new subject you
"open a new thread".
