Hi there.
I've been learning Lojban for just a week, and am slowly starting to
understand it.
I use the "What is Lojban" and "Lojban for beginners"
[http://www.tlg.uci.edu/~opoudjis/lojbanbrochure] books.
According to "What is Lojban", the meaning of the selbri "melbi" is:
> x1 (object/idea) is beautiful to x2 (observer) by standard x3
[http://lojban.org/publications/level0/brochure/diagsumm.html]
And, according to "Lojban for beginners", the meaning is:
> x1 is beautiful/pleasant to x2 in aspect x3 (ka) by aesthetic standard x4
[http://www.tlg.uci.edu/~opoudjis/lojbanbrochure/lessons/less4quantities.html]
Now, my questions is: which of these definitions is correct? How many
sumti can 'melbi' take?
Thanks.
mi'e bartoc.
