It occurs to me that "mi'e" must require a pause before the name
unless there's a "doi", is that correct?
Correct. cmevla require a pause if they follow anything other than la, lai, la'i or doi.
Also, after "zoi" am I correct that a pause is needed after the first
instance of the quote, and both before and after the second, as in:
"zoi gy. something .gy."?
