Tengwar is very pretty, and pretty unusable.  It's too self-similar;
a tiny slip of the pen and you can't tell if a character is a p, c,
r or what.  Which would be fine if it was only a few characters, but
*every* tengwar in the base set has at least one or two other
characters it is almost identical to.
