I can't tell you the why, but I can tell that it goes all the way
back to the earliest days of Loglan. JCB tended to add s to names
derived from other languages, and -n to names derived from Loglanish
words (like the days of the week, and months of the year, and the sun
and moon). (I studied Loglan back in the mid 70s)
