[lojban-beginners] Privacy and Security concerns from the mailing list archives

Hi everyone,

I know I'm not active at all at the mailing list, but I do try to read as many mails as I can. I recently noticed that I greatly screwed up some time ago when I sent at least one email with some personal information attached at the end (i.e. my home phone number).

I live outside the states, and my current place of residence is everything but safe. I had no idea the mailing list had public backups of sent mails. This public piece of information puts my personal security at risk since kidnappings for ransom are becoming more and more frequent were I live. I suppose I will have to change my number now.

I do not know who I need to contact to remove any backed up mails, particularly those with my personal info and email and would greatly appreciate it if any of you could point me in the right direction. Additionally, I would like to be dropped from the mailing list. I will create a new email account and add myself again.

If any of you has any internet privacy suggestions, I will be happy to hear them. I've noticed several mistakes and holes I've left behind over the years and will proceed to do as much damage control as I can.

Thanks.
