[lojban-beginners] Re: klingon swears

Sara,

Sorry about Michael jumping on you. As xorxes said, there does exist a
part of our official dictionary site where people can make a Lojban
dictionary with definitions in Klingon. It is, truly, amazingly geeky
and awesome.

I wish we could help you not just with Klingon swears, but with some
Lojban swears! I'll bet that would impress your guy and his folks.
Unfortunately it's a tricky thing to swear in Lojban. This has been a
constant source of discussion. Usually we preface a word with the
prefix "mal", short for "mabla".

mabla mal derogative. x1 is a derogative connotation/sense of x2 used
by x3; x3 derogates/'curses at' x2 in form x1. [bloody (British
sense), fucking, shit, goddamn]

You may have stumbled on the wrong mailing list, but so what? Stay a
while! Put your feet up on the furniture! Drink the koolaid! :)

Sincerely,
Matt Arnold
