Why does the x2 of {kecti} need to be a person? Can I not feel pity for a dog? Similarly, though maybe a bit less arguable, does even the x1 need to be a "person"?
kecti kec ke'i pity x1 (person) pities/feels sorry for x2 (person) about x3 (abstraction) 4c 23 (cf. cinmo, xendo)
I don't know about other people, but I take those parenthetical comments as perhaps a typical usage, but not mandatory.
