I wouldn't say that. Sound isn't light, and a bat's sound image processing is
quite different from visual image processing.
Neither bats nor dolphins are optically blind, btw. "Blind as a bat" comes
from the flight patterns of bats, which look as if they can't see where
they're going, but they change course mid-flight to grab insects, which the
batwatcher may not see. Blind animals in otherwise sighted taxa typically
live in caves or underground. (Bats live in caves, but they fly outside
them.)
