[lojban-beginners] Yoda quote

So I was thinking about Yoda's famous quote "Do or Do not, there is no
try", and thinking about how it would work in lojban. I tried a bunch
of long and awkward versions, but eventually settled on this

do gasnu onai do troci

if my translation works, this mean roughly- "you do or you try- not both"

I tried messing around with this

do gasnu onai do na gasnu ku'i do na kakne troci

literally "you do Xor you do not do, however you cannot try"

but I think the first translation conveys the same intended message
and is more concise and eloquent.

Any thoughts, critiques, or better ways to translate it?
