"mi djuno lo du'u kau ko'a gerku gi'i mlatu" makes sense. But if a sentence 
beginning ".i kau" is at top level, it can't be an indirect question. I 
consider such sentences as ".i kau mi klama le zarci" as syntactically 
correct but nonsense, like "te .u" or "du ra'o".
