I'm partial to "gav", which is the Russian version, and "gavgava" for the
brivla. Different dogs speak with different accents. With "uuf" or "gav", I'd
use "sa'ei" or "lu ... li'u", but not both.

"quack" has a good pedigree, being found in most Germanic languages and
several others. The French is "coin", which unrelatedly also means "corner".
The Russian is "кря". The brivla could be "kuakna" or "kriaka".

I think "splac" is malgli (at least the 's' at the beginning). How about
"pluf", "plusk", or "plask"? Come to think of it, English "sh" often comes
from Old English "sc", so maybe English "plash" and Russian "пласк" have a
common root.

There was a discussion some years ago about cows saying five. :)
