You've been told that what about your grammar is outdated? If you say "cu" and
you've been told to say "ku", there's nothing wrong with either way, and you
can even say "ku cu". It's a teaching method, not anything about the grammar.
If you've been told you can omit the "ku" in "ku joi", that's a difference
between two kinds of formal grammars. The PEG can handle "joi" without the
"ku"; the LALR1 grammar can't.
If it has something to do with names beginning with "la", that's a change
called dotside.
If it's something else, tell us!
