"More often" is "zmadu fi lo ka cafne", so perhaps "fi'o cafmau" could be less cryptic than "fi'o zmaroi", but either of them should work. I haven't seen "no'o" or "xo'e" used by themselves enough to have a clear idea of what they mean, but I suppose if they have different meanings then which one works best would depend on the context of what you want to say.
