Re: [lojban-beginners] .i zoi gy. gift gy. xe fanva ma la lojban (How do you say 'Gift' in lojban?)

{.i zoi gy. gift gy. xe fanva ma la lojban}
means
' "gift" is the translation of what to Lojban?'
whereas you need
{.i ma xe fanva zoi gy. gift gy. la lojban} = 'What is the translation of "gift" to Lojban?'

I'm not sure if I got that question right, I just watched the YT video on it.

I'm trying to translate Joanna into lojban.
Joanna means 'God's gift', and God is cevni cev cei. What's gift?

Also, as an example, if I use dunda as gift, would the name be ceidu'a? Wouldn't that be God giver?

On another note, my name is Nick, and Nicholas means The people's victory.
person = prenu pre
win = jinga jig ji'a
So could Nicholas be preji'a?

Thanks in advance!

(possibly)-preji'a
