Actually I'm having a bit trouble with it and was looking for a text that was perhaps even simpler. Not that I can't understand it, it is just a lot of work to decipher the grammar...

I'm more than halfway through the wave lessons, but I still feel I
have a really hard time dealing with an actual lojban text. Also, I
seem to remember hearing about a change that took place in lojban
grammar, so I am left wondering if the things I don't understand are
even current. For example in "la .teris. ...." the period in the
beginning of the name is not used except in the title. I was under the
impression this was mandatory, so I tend to think this text is in an
older version of lojban.
So what are good texts to start reading in people's opinions?
