[lojban-beginners] fagricipni's Return
coi ro do .i mi'e fagri cipni
Well, I'm am the prodigal child returning. OK, that's probably not
the most apropos of metaphors; but I do feel bad for disappearing
so long ago. I still have The Complete Lojban Language book and have
been reading it again. Unfortunately, I have also forgotten a lot
of things.
mi ze'u pu [1] na'e gleki
I have not been happy for a long time.
* I am best trying to describe my depression here.
[1] I believe that this is the correct order: for a long time [ze'u]
in the past [pu].
.i mi co'a ca gleki
I am starting to become happy.
.i mi pu klama lo zarci
I went to the store.
* I wanted to add today, but I am not sure how to express.
.i vecnu lo cukta .a lo junla [2] mi
I bought a book and a clock.
[2] I believe that "ku" is unnecessary here.
I feel like my Lojban sentences are a bit inane, but I am trying to
use grammatical constructs that I still remember; also, my life is
boring. (.u'i nai .u'i)*
* The ".u'i nai" reflects how I feel about living it. The ".u'i"
reflects amusement at using an attitudinal in my text.
Given that I have The Complete Lojban Language book, and know about
the xorlo changes, and of the dotside change; are there any other
changes I need to know about.
