("digraph", not "diphthong".)
The problem is that writing it as two words will break the stress
pattern, which the Polish voices do perfectly for Lojban. After some
experimenting, I think the best is to write it "girtzu".
The diphthongs are also not a problem, although typing "ł" can be
something of a pain without a Polish keyboard:
