CLL says: "All such words suffixed by “bu” are treated grammatically
as if they were cmavo belonging to selma'o BY" which is basically
correct (the only exceptions being around other magic words). I
wouldn't say that's an erratum, perhaps "almost as if they were" would
be more exact.
