No. "cabdei lo nu mi co'e" means "It was the same day that I did so." I would
say "ca le cabdei mi te vecnu lo sipydakli gi'e kansa le mi pendo po'u la tom
gi'e gunka le mi garna prenu skina".
Btw, "mi kansa lo mi pendo me'e la tom" means that Tom, not "Tom", is the name
of our being together, not of my friend. If you want to say it that way,
it's "mi kansa lo mi pendo beme'e zo tom".
