Hi!
I have been interested in lojban for a while, but just now decided to
actually start learning it.
problem is, I don't know where I should start. So if anyone could've
give me a start in the right direction, I would be very grateful.

Here's a few links to get you started. I put a star in front of the ones that I recommend you start with:
* http://smart.fm/goals/284287 - All the cmavo in the goal above, plus the more common combinations, such as ".uinaiunhappiness (attitudinal)"
http://www.lojban.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=The+Complete+Lojban+Language - A link to order the print book "The Complete Lojban Language", which describes the grammar of Lojban pretty much in it's entirety. A bit outdated, as there have been a few changes, but nothing horribly important- the biggest one is, we use lo a lot more than le nowadays, because of xorlo. Currently in the process of being updated for a new, more current edition.
Also, there's the Lojban Beginners group, which you've already found, which is a great place to ask questions about basically anything related to Lojban, and the IRC channel, #lojban, on freenode, where you can go to talk about or in Lojban, and where our current Lojban instructors (the ones who made the Wave), are pretty much always lurking.
Welcome to Lojbanistan!
