Assuming I understood what you wrote correctly, I'm not sure why
"brus" is not proper. Does it have to do with the "b" and "r" next to
each other (voiced and unvoiced consonants)? If it's not proper, I
would lojbanize my middle name "David" and use that. I would say:
ki'e .i zo deivyd cmene mi mu'i zo brus. na drani
