Well, the difference would be semantic.  In one you
are asking where someone lives.  In the other you are
asking where someone's dwelling is.  They are pretty
interchangable, unless the conversation is happening
shortly after a hurricane.

"Where do you live?"
"Right... uhm... over there."
"Dude, where's your house?"

You know... I might know enough Lojban to translate
that.  I'll play with that tonight.
