[lojban-beginners] Re: mi'e ZAkyri. mi cnino

Hmm...that would help. I suppose I should lojbanize my name as ZAkyris. Thanks for the reminder! I've never heard anything about the 'y' not counting before...but then again, there's a lot about lojban I don't know.

Hi Zachary,

About your name, or the cmene thereof -

I believe cmene need to end in a consonant, normally an s is added, or
the final vowel dropped, but you can do what ever you want
eg, ZAkyr, or ZAKyris

Also, stress in lojban falls on the penultimate syllable, so you have
capitalised the first syllable to make that the stressed one - however I
seem to recall that the schwa 'y' doesnt count, so the stress would be
on the first syllable anyway - can someone else confirm this?

Best of luck

djon.

Well, I'm new to the list, so I thought I'd go ahead and introduce
myself. Currently I've read the tutorial up to the possesives
section, but I'd rather not torture you guys with simple, and yet
butchered, lojban bridi. Please do correct me, in the inevitable
event that I should butcher some lojban. I'm here to learn!

So...hi!
