{cfari} means "x1 starts to happen", {sisti} means
"x1 stops doing x2". You'd need {tolcfa} for "x1 stops happening"
and {tolsti} for "x1 starts doing x2".

I think {lo krasi be lo donri} is best for "the time period that
constitutes the beginning of the daytime period".

We could also say {lo co'a donri} and {lo mo'u donri}.
