If you say le cukta fi la tolkin. cinri, it won't mean that Tolkien's book is interesting! It wouldn't mean anything much, because that fi la tolkin. would go into cinri x3 place, which doesn't happen to exist. What you need is be: le cukta be fi la tolkin. [be'o] cinri means what you want.
