Great idea. I would appreciate that very much.
May I suggest the following:
- Use 128kbps (a lower rate will result in ditortions
of higher frequencies, in {t} and {p} for instance).
- Try to keep the background noise as low as possible
right from the start (simple things like switching
of the loudspeakers of the computer or approaching
the microphone are sometimes very effective).
- Speak slowly and distinctly. Don't hesitate to redo
a recording (I sometimes record a phrase ten times
before it sounds right). Remember it's for beginners
to learn from.
- Avoid diphthongs where there are none in Lojban.
For example an {o} with a diphthong sound would not
be acceptable.
- Otherwise, you do not have to copy exactly my vowel
pronunciations or my {r}.
- Let le know the lady's name and whether or not she
would like to be acknowledged.
For lesson 1.5, I would need a nice and friendly {me}
and the sentences {zo ... cmene mi}, where ... = {doriz},
{anias} or {rut}. More occasions may come up in course 2
soon!
Cheers, Martin
