One rule I did miss is that a syllable with a coda cannot be followed by
a syllable whose onset begins with that same consonant.

When is i or u used as an onset without being proceded by . or ' or
consonant? This might be more consistant (and more correct) if you add .i
and .u as onsets with the other Ci and Cu, and then omit the simple i and u
unless there are examples.
