It's actually something in between: a tanru unit. Syntactically you can do:

    ke carna nalci vinji ke'e cei carna'ivinji

which identifies the tanru unit "ke carna nalci vinji ke'e" with the
tanru unit "carna'ivinji".

Yes, that works, "carna zei nalci zei vinji" and "carna'ivinji" are
the same lujvo.
