I've been away from lojban for years now. I'm posting because I ran into what I think is a cool bit of expressivity in "le" vs "lo". My wife asked me to boil water and make her some tea; when I asked which tea, she responded with "'Candy' or 'magic'." These are not names of the teas, but just ways we refer to them. I think this would translate well as "le titspi" and "le makfa", and that those would be more faithful than using "la".
Thoughts?
