You would be much more likely to get a good answer at the Conlang list
(information at http://listserv.brown.edu/archives/conlang.html). There
are some people there who have actually constructed languages for money.
At least Herman Millers posts there from time to time, and he has made
some stuff for the Ultima series (computer role-playing games).

Apart from that, IMHO you should get a percentage of the revenue of the
book, instead of a lump sum or by the hour.
