The official parser doesn't know what va'e is, so I'm testing with moi.

It is as you say.  The grouping is the same for boi or me'u.

Interestingly, the official parser accepts "me li pa su'i pa ze moi",
but this appears to be due to a bug:

({<me [li (pa BOI) LO'O] ME'U> <[pa ze] moi>} VAU)
