But this usage goes far beyond medical jargon:
"The similar result of the action of the moon
upon the earth is called nutation."
"If humans lack free will, then our actions fall into
exactly the same category as the action of a falling stone."
"Its flight is generally referred to as gliding, but soaring 
is a more accurate term to describe the action of a flying 
glider (see Aerial Sports)."
"These piles of loose rock were formed by the action
of water creeping into cracks in the rock and freezing."

So it may be personification, but it's not just jargon.

In any case, my impression was that Xah Lee was looking
for a word that covers {citka}, {farlu} and {plipe}
but does not include {blabi} or {prenu}. So more than
se zukte but less than nunco'e. {nunco'e} does include 
{nu blabi} ("being white") and nu prenu ("being a person").
