How do I do subscripts in Tiki?

I started the mathematical constants page (having found a page on MathWorld 
that answered a question about ordinals and cardinals) and tried to write 
aleph-null (the aleph-symbol character, U+2135, looks like a box on my 
computer, even though I know it can display U+5D0 right) and omega-null with 
subscripts. They show as literal "<sub>" tags. I looked at wiki help, and at 
the editing help pages on doc.tikiwiki.org, and didn't see anything about 
subscripts. Is there a way to do them?
