I would use {cinta} rather then {xinmo}

{cinta} looks good. Squids don't paint with it, but the place structure doesn't imply that they do.

I just googled and found that "calamari" is from Latin "calamarius", which means "of or pertaining to a reed pen", or as a noun, "ink".
