Does that mean that either form is OK? Or should one standardise on either
"la rafygug" or "la kantrineim"?

And should these:

I'll bow to your knowledge of Lojban here. I just went by the fact that the
gi'uste lists "x1 reflects XXX ... nationality" as indicating that they
could refer to a country (and the fact that you had constructed several, but
not all, country-names of the form "le gismu").
