I'm mostly new to lojban and want to here to some speaking lojbanists. 

I'm UTC+2 and you must be UTC-5... hope I don't miss it. But which IP
has your TS server? And are their any passwords or oddly named channels
I have to know before to connect without problems?

Some info about me:
I am, like so many, a developer. I'm interrested in coding a program
which creates an ontology based on lojban texts but first I have to
learn the language much better.
