There's been some discussion on the Lojban Wikipedia (http://jbo.wikipedia.org) about how to lojbanise the word "Wikipedia" (which is generally pronounced /ˌwɪkɪ'pi:diə/ or /ˌwiki'pi:diə/ in English). There doesn't seem to be a consensus there (and not a very active discussion, really), so I thought I'd solicit some opinions from the list. The options seem to be {uikipedias}, which is what appears in the logo, or {uikiPEdi,as}, which is how it's written on the front page. I think I prefer the former (which I read /wi.ki.'pɛd.jɑs/ -- I hope that's correct); the CLL implies that it's better to have emphasis on the penultimate syllable, and I think this achieves a more Lojbanic sound.
I feel like this worth getting straight because it's embarrassing to Lojbanic project that can't even spell the name of the project consistently.
I, to boot, don't really see any particular reason why the Lojban word for Wikipedia has to end with an {s}, although I don't imagine it will be possible to get Lojbanists
to agree on something else.
