At least "mako" should be guessable by several here. It's a Polynesian word 
for shark, which has been borrowed into English as the name of some kind of 
shark.

The others:
skualu: shark
xajyfi'e: porpoise (from Alice, I think, but I don't have Alice now)
miksini: hagfish
tromizona: lamprey
