Is the logo baselined as the language itself?
The logo was adopted by a vote of the community back around 1989 or 1990. Thus some on the LLG Board of Directors felt that we would be obliged to seek some sort of a community vote before considering any sort of change to and alternative or plural set of logos/symbols.
