Fortunately, Matt got to the rest of your mail before I did, so I'll
just respond to this part:

What, exactly, did you think was wrong with the response you got?
You said you wanted to hack PhpBB to do ML/forum gatewaying.  I told
you that that's a huge amount of work, and *offered to set up an
ML/forum gateway for you*.  You ignored this completely in your
response.

Further, I expressed surprise at the existence of an "extant
Lojbanic web forum", because it's been years since any significant
Lojbanic web activity has passed me by.  In my universe, "extant
Lojban web forum" means that it's popular and widely used among the
community, so I was surprised.

You sound like my offering to solve your problem for you was a *bad*
thing.

Note, by the way, that someone comes along about every 6 months
requesting a web forum of some kind, which is why I put huge amounts
of effort into making it work in the first place.  So far, none of
the people who have done so have stuck around for any significant
length of time (like, more than a week, that I can recall). I hope
you'll be an exception.

So, tell me what you want the forum to be called, and what mailing
list you want it to mirror, and I'll go do it; it'll take me about
20 minutes, at most.
