Because of the implicit restriction to an unspecified time and place.


My take on the 3-dog/9-dog problem is that all the standard forms specify
nine dogs, and that to get three dogs you use:

        vu'i ci gerku cu batci vu'i ci nanmu

which creates two sequences, one of dogs and one of men.
