Let me strengthen what John said:

The grammar has been baselined for several years, and only very limited changes
have been identified for the last couple of years, almost all of which were
expansions to the language.

The membership voted that the grammar WILL be baselined as of 31 December
1994
or upon publication of the reference grammar, whichever comes first. no
"expectation" - this is as close as Lojban has to "Law". It would take
a special membership meeting to change that, and it ain't gonna happen %^)

Likewise the lexicon freeze as reflected in the dictionary, as of 30 June 1997.
These will be at least 5 year freezes, and there is no intent to even discuss
a mechanism for change until after that time. But in the case of the gismu
place structures, there have been no changes at all in at least a year and
a half. I theoretically could consider a change while working on the
dictionary but all I have done involving the dictionary in ages has resulted
only in rewording and clarification of place structures of gismu, and not any
substantive changes. The amount of backcheckinbg needed for me to make a
place structrue change work at this point means that I seriously do not
expect any changes.

Just as a clarification: pending the dictionary publication, the authoratative
lists of gismu and cmavo are the separate files
ftp.access.digex.net /pub/access/lojbab/wordlists/gismu and ~/cmavo

Of these two the gismu list is solid; the cmavo list is more likely to get
clarificational rewording as part of the dictionary work, since the cmavo
definitions in the list now are rather poor for dictionary purposes.
